Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) are allotropes of carbon, with the atoms of carbon forming extended cylindrical structures inserted into one another. Carbon atoms in the cylinder are arranged at hexagonal lattice points, as in graphene sheets. The length of nanotubes reaches several micrometers.
